Professional AssessmentGet The Help You Need

The Partial Hospitalization level of care is one step down from Residential- Inpatient Treatment. It’s designed for people who need the rigor and intensity of an inpatient program but, for various reasons, can’t live on-site. At the PHP level of care, you get a full day of evidence-based treatment – including individual, group, and family therapy, addiction education classes, and 12-step meetings – but you get to go home at the end of the day to fulfill you work, family, or other responsibilities. This level of care is perfect for patients who want to fully commit to treatment yet need time away from the treatment location to keep their lives up and running.

Life After Partial Hospitalization Treatment

The length of your Partial Hospitalization treatment program depends on three things: your specific needs as determined by your initial biopsychosocial asessment, the input of your primary therapist and clinical staff, and the progress you make in your recovery. When you meet the mutually agreed upon goals created for your individualized treatment plan, you have options: you can step-down to a less rigorous level of care such as Intensive Outpatient or General Outpatient, or you can return to your daily life and continue recovery with the assistance and support of our alumni programs and extensive, nationwide community support network.

Your Path to Long-Term Recovery

We encourage all our patients – when practical and possible – to step down through the levels of care without rushing. For some patients, intensive treatment is the easiest part of their recovery journey, and the transition back to home life is the tricky part. Stepping down from Partial Hospitalization treatment to Outpatient treatment helps ease the transition and gives you the support you need to stay sober and on track. You get to put your new recovery skills to the test at home and out in the real world, then come back to treatment and talk about what works and what doesn’t. Your recovery peers and therapists help you apply your new knowledge where it counts the most: in the new life you’re creating for yourself at Pinnacle Treatment.
