A Life in RecoveryYour New Social Network
For people early in recovery, returning home can be one of the most difficult challenges they face. We ease the transition from treatment to everyday life by preparing you for your discharge day far in advance.
Our clinicians begin your aftercare plan as soon as you arrive. Your role is to participate fully in all aspects of your treatment. We help you find out what works and help you practice the skills that matter. When you step-down through our levels of care, you have opportunities to refine your long-term strategies with your therapists and counselors.
Social/peer support is a critical component of this process. During treatment, we teach you about the importance of peer support through groups like:
- Alcoholics Anonymous
- Narcotics Anonymous
- SMART Recovery
- Refuge Recovery
When you leave Pinnacle, we encourage you to keep going to meetings as part of your long-term recovery plan.
Support from others who face the same challenges can be invaluable. Sometimes just sitting in a room of people with similar experiences can make all the difference in the world. While their approaches may vary, your recovery peers all have one thing in common: no matter who you are or what substance you struggle with, they want you to be successful.
