    Recovery Works Greenup in South Shore, Kentucky offers a patient-centered, trauma-informed drug rehab program, tailored to meet the individual needs of everyone who walks through our doors for addiction treatment help. Our comprehensive, full continuum of care includes intensive outpatient treatment (IOP), partial hospitalization (PHP), residential treatment (RTC), alumni aftercare group/meetings, and medically supervised detox.

    Following a clinical evaluation, our team creates a customized treatment plan which may include individual, family, and group therapy in addition to other services. Following this evaluation, patients may become eligible for medication-assisted treatments such as Vivitrol or Buprenorphine (Suboxone), or any opioid replacement therapy already prescribed. At our South Shore/Greenup location, our caring, compassionate staff understands the challenges individuals face in recovery, and our evidence-based treatment therapies and support programs help each patient to overcome these obstacles and discover a new, vibrant life in recovery.

    At Recovery Works Greenup, we believe in treating the whole person. To support this approach, our treatment plans consist of various therapies in addition to medication management, anger management, and grief/loss therapy. Evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Meditation Groups, and Motivational Interviewing (MI) accompany relapse prevention, trauma-informed care, nutritional counseling, life skills training, and spiritual counseling. Our treatment plans also include holistic offerings such as music therapy, fishing, and yoga. To support long-term recovery, we also offer off-site 12-step meetings and free alumni meetings.

    Our professional staff includes 24-hour nursing, master’s level counselors, NAADAC-certified addiction treatment professionals, and consults with medical doctors and psychiatrists as needed. We accept Medicaid and most major insurances and are designated as a Blue Distinction Center for Substance Use Treatment and Recovery by Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield.
