In the interview, facility Executive Director Steve Quackenbush stresses the comprehensive approach to treatment that addresses the biological, psychological, and social components of addiction treatment we use at Pinnacle. When patients engage in treatment at Front Royal, their options include, but are not limited to:
- Counseling
- Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) with Methadone, Suboxone, or Naltrexone
- Referrals to Social Services
Steve also takes time to mention the fact that people in the Front Royal community are overcoming the stigma around opioid treatment and welcome the presence of evidence-based support that mitigates the harm caused by the opioid addiction and overdose crisis in Virginia. Reducing stigma and teaching people about the benefits of treatment are in important step in healing individuals, families and communities not only in Viginia, but also nationwide.
